ABOUT US
The Beta Phi Beta Alumnae chapter is located in the Toledo, Ohio area. We serve Alpha Chi Omega alumnae from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Our chapter is a member in good standing with the Toledo Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association.
We support two collegiate chapters of Alpha Chi Omega, Beta Omega at The University of Toledo and Beta Phi at Bowling Green State University. Our alumnae members meet with the collegians at least two times a year, in December for a holiday brunch and in April when we host the Hall of Commitment Ceremony with a chocolate dessert buffet.
Our chapter generally meets once a month for lunch or dinner, sometimes with a theme or speaker. We also take road trips to various locations. A Founders' Day dinner is held on or around October 15th where we honor our 50 year members and remember those that have passed.
In addition, we aid in the fight against domestic violence by supporting Bethany House, a local women's shelter, any way we can.
We hope you enjoy our new website and find it useful. We can also be found on Facebook.

What a beautiful day we had for homecoming at University of Toledo this past weekend. For our Beta Omega alums it was a great chance to visit with the college members and see the new furniture on the first floor and new flooring in the basement.
Founder's Day
Is October 15th at Brandywine. The invitation is attached. Please RSVP with Cathy Fifer ([email protected]) by 10/9. We have 50- and 60-year membership recognitions!
Beta Omega Anniversary
In 2020 we will celebrate 75 years of Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Toledo. I noticed that the AOPi alumnae celebrated their anniversary this past weekend by marching in the homecoming parade. Cindy Mossing and Renee Gemzik said they are game to do that next year. So I wanted to get it on your radar and we will talk more about it a little closer to that date! As I hear from the chapter I will keep you posted on what events they are planning.
Founder's Day Challenge
An anonymous sister has issued us a challenge. If you are a dues paying member and make a contribution to the Real. Strong. Women fund of the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation through our chapter, she will match your contribution up to a total of $500. You may make the contribution when you send in your dues or bring with you to Founder's Day. This contribution must be received by October 25 to count toward the challenge. Feel free to contact Cathy Fifer or me with any questions on this challenge. I'm in, how about you?!
Alpha Chi Omega History
"The third installment of The History of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity [ https://issuu.com/alphachiomega/docs/axo_anthologyvol3_final ] is now available online! Learn about the women, the decisions and the climate of our country that changed the course of Alpha Chi Omega during 1935-60. What did recruitment look like as the process became more formalized on campuses? How did World War II affect conventions, housing and the sorority experience as a whole?"
Dollars for Scholars
This annual scholarship fundraiser for Toledo Area Alumni Panhellenic will be Friday, October 18, 6-8 pm at the home of Cathy Fifer. $15 per person.

HALL OF COMMITMENT CEREMONY 2014
Beta Phi Beta Alumnae
NEW ALUMNAE FROM BGSU & UTMCO
Thank you to Carol Laumann so much for her marvelous planning of the AXO Hall of Commitment held in her home and the beautiful spread of chocolate desserts and tasty ginger punch. Thank you to each of the sisters who brought the chocolate, cheese and fruit making the food spread attractive and ample. It was indeed “Sweet endings and Sweet beginnings.”
Congratulations to the Alpha Chi collegiates who we hope will continue their AXO experience as active alumnae in our area.
This is a great time to be an Alpha Chi. We have a great class of graduates who have been strengthened by our National programs, their campus experiences and their own dedication to their studies. I look forward to keep in touch with many who remain in the area and hope all will be active in their alumnae chapter as they move around.

BOOKS FOR BETHANY HOUSE
Attention Alpha Chi Omega ladies (and friends)
At our January get together, we had a lovely time talking about our current favorite books and collecting books for the women and children who are at Bethany House. We had so much fun, we wanted others to be able to get involved as well. Beta Phi Beta Alumni Chapter will be expanding this project as our Hera Day project for this year. Please consider donating new or gently used books suitable for children or women so we may make a donation to the Bethany House. The Bethany House shelter is a safe haven for women (and their children) who are victims of domestic violence. The collection will conclude on March 1—Hera Day—and we will then deliver your donations to Bethany house. The following sisters will be glad to accept your donations:
Cher Johnson (Perrysburg) - [email protected]
Ruth Moeller (Sylvania) - [email protected]
Tami Norris (Holland/U of Toledo) – [email protected]
Chris Hubirt - [email protected]
